Installing A Security Tagging System For The Optical Centre In Staines
The Client
The Optical Centre provides customers with eye and hearing tests, as well as supplying eyeglasses,sunglasses, contact lenses and hearing aids. An Israeli company, they have expanded to Western Europe in recent years, finding success in France before opening their first store in the UK. This security tagging project is the fourth installation Tagmax has performed, so we already had a working relationship that allowed us to perform the job quicker than normal.
The Solution
For their new store in Staines, we supplied a pair of standard white pedestals to fit in with a specific 'clinical feels' the client wanted their store aesthetic to have. The tagging gates were specifically manufactured in white to meet this end.
We were given an exact opening deadline to work to, so we liaised closely with the site foreman to arrange a window for the installation, then a later site visit to ensure the client was happy with the work we carried out.
The tagging security would be installed near the store's exit, the doorway of which was a standard electric doorway –so we had to make sure the system was installed in a place where the electronic doors would not interfere with the system.
The fit out went through swiftly and without fuss – with the only workaround being during the bolting down process of the pedestals. The shopfitter installed the conduits in such a way that we had to ensure that our bolts did not interfere with them as they were being put through.
The client was pleased with our work and were able to open up on time and welcome in their new customers! We plan to work on more projects with The Optical Centre this year and we look forward to strengthening our partnership.
